With the open enrollment period starting in the coming weeks, now is the time to begin reviewing your current policy. Don't assume that your current policy will be the same next year, start researching the options that are available to you.

If you're enrolled in or are considering enrolling in Medicare, the open enrollment period is the only time you can add a Medicare Supplement policy to your regular Medicare coverage. For those of you looking to enroll in health coverage through the Healthcare Marketplace, open enrollment is the only time (other than major life events, which usually requires a waiting period before a new policy is active) when you can switch to a different policy.

The following timeline, will help you keep track of important dates as the start of open enrollment gets closer.

Some dates in this timeline are different from last year. Hopefully by using this timeline, you can begin making all of the necessary arrangements regarding your health and Medicare options.

If you'd like to begin the process of evaluating all of your health insurance and Medicare Supplement options, please don't hesitate to contact Dawn Moore, for all of your needs. Using her 12 years in the Healthcare industry, she can help find a plan that's right for you and your family.
